The end of 2020 period saw heavy snowfall and freezing temperatures.
The center opened in May 2020 until the end of October and was able to accommodate, with reinforced anti-covid19 procedures, 41 clients, French and European. It was thus possible to maintain the level of expertise of the center and to move new projects forward. The Spirit of Port Revel container ship has sailed for many weeks!
The Port Revel Instructors Seminar was held on November 20 and 21. For two days, they reviewed the entire pedagogy of the centre in order to improve its content. It also allows the latest recruits to familiarize themselves with the tool. They also provided an update on improvements and/or repairs to be made to the models and on the lake. Welcome to Eric Le Bolloc'h, a young retiree from the port of La Rochelle, who will take up his new coaching duties next season, starting in April 2020. Port Revel is at the Sydney 2019 Congress. This is an opportunity for us to meet the maritime community, to build links with all the pilots present at this congress and to meet new customers so that they can discover all the training potential that Port Revel can bring them.
For the second year, the African Congress of Maritime Pilots started on Monday 14th of October 2019 at Tanger Med Port Center. This 3-day event welcomes 180 participants from 33 nationalities that represent 57 ports.
Pilots from San Francisco and Vancouver have already used the new ship, the ULCS "Spirit of Port Revel". A very successful new model, number 12.
Covering an area of 350 m², the new building allows us to accommodate 4 models in the basin and offers a very comfortable maintenance dock.
On July 4th, the pilots of Houston and Aransas celebrated independence day, in the center of Port Revel. It was a very nice and friendly week. Thank you all. From left to right: Cpt.
